Festival Volunteer Data & Research Analyst

Part Time, Voluntary Internship over 6-10 weeks. Starting Monday 6 November. Interviews w/c 30 October.

My Cause UK’s vision is for people to support any cause they wish by volunteering their time at festivals, concerts and live events. We are an open minded, forward thinking not-for-profit organisation started in Bristol. We are looking for a well organised, hardworking and positive person to lead a unique project that will play a central role in influencing our work.

You will help shape how we analyse our research and data to support our business activity. Taking ownership of our volunteer data, you will be responsible for developing a report that will be used to inform our marketing activity and partner growth. You might be looking to get into data analysis or research and have a strong interest in the Third Sector. You will already have an excellent knowledge of how data analysis works.

As a core team member in a small organisation you will assist the team in delivering all other activity from basic admin through to online marketing campaigns.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop a system to keep in touch with all public volunteer data published in the UK.
  • Work with our CRM Manager and Marketing Manager to access key internal data and research and develop a system to manage and aggregate data appropriately.
  • Analyse our 2017 volunteer data and research and produce a report that will be used to influence our volunteer marketing and recruitment strategy in 2018.
  • Act as the main contact for all data-related queries.
  • Support the team with all other tasks as necessary.

Personal specification:

  • An understanding of analysing research data
  • An understanding of SQL database language (Salesforce)
  • Experience of drawing insight from data and making strong recommendations based your findings
  • An interest in digital marketing techniques and knowledge of digital data sets
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Well organised and exceptional time-management
  • Ability to think strategically, analytically and creatively with a high level of initiative and common sense.
  • Able to work well independently, as well as part of a strong team

Training provided:

Salesforce, PAAM volunteer management system, as well as mentoring from experienced marketing, CRM and volunteer managers throughout the assignment.

Preferred start dates and working pattern:

Candidate to start Monday 6 November. Internship to last 6-10 weeks part time to fit in with your schedule. Minimum two days per week (14 hours) preferred. Office closed for Christmas between Friday 22 December – Friday 12 January.
