About the Event
Festival Congress is the flagship annual conference delivered by the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF), bringing together around 400 independent festival organisers, operators, and industry partners from across the UK.
Festival Congress is a full-day B2B gathering featuring keynote talks, lightning sessions, workshops, fireside chats, and an evening networking event. It’s a space for ideas, collaboration, and honest conversations about the future of festivals.
Hosted at Bristol Beacon, this is a high-profile, professionally delivered event with a strong focus on community, learning, and connection.
About the Role
As part of the Accreditation Team, you’ll play a key role in the smooth start of the day, supporting delegate arrivals and setting the tone for the event.
This is an early-morning, front-facing role focused on organisation, accuracy, and great people skills – helping ensure delegates are welcomed efficiently and confidently as Festival Congress gets underway.
Members of the team will also gain free access to the event after their shift finishes.
Roles and Responsibilities
As an Accreditation Assistant, your duties may include:
- Supporting event accreditation setup and breakdown
- Checking in delegates and issuing badges or passes
- Providing clear, friendly directions and event information
- Managing queues and peak arrival periods calmly and professionally
- Liaising with Supervisors, event organisers, and venue staff
- Helping create a welcoming, well-organised arrival experience
Skills and Experience
- Previous event, front-of-house, or customer-facing experience preferred
- Confident, approachable, and professional
- Strong communication and attention to detail
- Calm under pressure during busy arrival periods
- Reliable, proactive, and a good team player
Candidate Requirements
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Able to provide at least two employment references
