About: The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) is one of the UK’s most iconic live events and is widely recognised as one of the world’s largest airshows. Held at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, the three day event welcomes almost 170,000 visitors, brings together hundreds of aircraft from around 30 nations, and delivers an unforgettable experience both in the air and on the ground. More than just an airshow, RIAT is a major public event that celebrates aviation, inspires future generations, and supports the work of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Campsite Management: You would be responsible for supervising the day-to-day running of a designated campsite area, ensuring it remains safe, well-organised, and welcoming for all guests. 

You will lead and support campsite teams on the ground, act as a visible point of contact, and respond calmly and effectively to any issues that arise. 

You will be expected to maintain high standards across welfare, safety, and presentation, escalating incidents appropriately and helping to keep operations running smoothly from arrivals through to departure.

Skills and Experience:

  • You must have previous management experience in a customer service setting, stewarding or similar environment
  • Enthusiastic, polite and super confident
  • A loud voice will be handy
  • A good level of spoken English
  • A love of working in the great outdoors!

Candidate requirements:

  • You must be a UK resident or have the right to work in the UK
  • You must be able to provide at least two references from previous employers
  • There will be camping available onsite, or if you are local, you are welcome to commute in.
