About: Longleat’s 60th Garden Party is a special anniversary event celebrating 60 years since the opening of Longleat’s iconic Safari Park, which first welcomed visitors in 1966. Taking place on 11 to 12 April 2026, the event forms part of Longleat’s wider anniversary celebrations and brings together a busy family friendly atmosphere with seasonal activities, attractions, food and drink, and special event features across the estate.
Roles and Responsibilities: Event Stewards: You would be responsible for welcoming guests into the arena and helping to create a friendly, positive first impression. The role would involve directing people to the correct entry points, ensuring guests move safely around the display area and keeping a close eye on the fence line between visitors and the tethered balloons to help maintain a safe environment. There may also be occasions where you are required to move event items, such as hay bales or PED barriers, in support of the wider event operation.
Skills and Experience:
- You must have previous customer service, events or similar experience
- Enthusiastic, polite and super confident
- A loud voice will be handy
- A good level of spoken English
- A love of working in the great outdoors!
Candidate requirements:
- You must be a UK resident or have the right to work in the UK
- You must be able to provide at least two references from previous employers
